Hellta Airlines Flight

So I’m on my Delta flight.. as usual, I’m cramped in between someone tapping hard behind me on the back of my seat. The guy next to me is coughing up his weathered lungs. The guy in front of me wants to recline directly onto my kneecaps and the flight attendant wants to remind me that my knees cant be allowed to stretch out into the hallway. I figure instead of getting upset and pissed, I’ll turn my painful lemons into lemonade of some first-person docu footage, as a journalist should.

This was brought to a halt when the flight attendant, infinitely unsympathetic to my struggle to fly in peace, informed me that filming poses a security threat. Yep, she pulled the 9/11 card. She told me I had to erase the footage and she had to watch me or else there will be trouble if I didn’t. She wanted to explain to me why she was requesting this. I told her, “it’s OK, I’ll just comply,” after all, I don’t want to be in any way, shape, or form confused with being the “T” word. I’m afraid to even speak out loud right now, because I’m worried about my freedom and safety being placed in jeopardy. Even after I erased the footage, she said she didn’t see me do it so she will still notify the captain, which means I’ll have to try and bear it with a grin, although I am thoroughly offended, shocked, and appalled at the level of disrespect I am being shown by Delta Airline staff. The only reason I avoided being investigated was because someone else on the flight was having heart complications. What a ride! Come fly the friendly skies? Yea right. Apparently the Freedom of the press, the first amendment to the Constituional Bill of Rights, gets confiscated at the TSA checkpoint… along with my toothpaste.

Baseball is Big Business. Big Business is a Game. Before New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez, went to face the music in his first press conference since admitting to doping, Federal Agents swooped down on Texas billionaire, Allen Stanford, who accussing him, and associates of a deposit scheme valued at $8 billion. What do the two have in common? Both the foundations of their successes are built on “Growth Hormones.” Stanford, who promised high-yields on his deposits, artificially increased the value of his firm, (Stanford International Bank), while A-Rod became one of the highest paid players after a trade from the Texas Rangers to the Yankees, that was based on stats and performances under the influence of Dominican steroids.

As Baseball is still coming to grips with a “Steroid Era” that has tarnished the sport, the market is going through what you can call a “Foreclosure Era.” Fans and Investors are increasingly being turned off by efforts by efforts from Commissioner Bud Selig, and the Securities Exchange and Commission, whose actions are seen as “too little, too late.” When the SEC came down on Bernard Madoff, he made a deal, not admitting guilt, and tucked away some of his assetts to go about life as a financially comfortable, yet disgraced businessman. Jose Canseco is Madoff’s counterpart, because he was the biggest (Bigger than Barry because of his ring) name associated with “Player Fraud.” Canseco, admitted everything and wrote a book naming names, making him a financially comfortable, disgraced player.

Sure there are tons of players, tons of businesspeople who work well outside the lines of fair practice, some caught, some not. Just Like A-Rod built brand by working outside the rules, and stopped at some point, I’m sure Stanford hadn’t continually frauding investors after some momentum was built. I’m sure there are some “players” in baseball AND business who built empires on cutting corners, and changed their act at some point and will never be brought to justice for it. The only difference between the two is that Baseball players, like A-Rod, are apologizing to parents for not living up to being role models for their kids, and businessmen are having to apologizing to parents for squandering that 401(k) and foreclosing the home.

I saw the videos out there and the first one, and people said it was a Fifty Cent Diss. Then the second was called a Rick Ross reply. Since the Animacism is similar, I’ll say it was some fool cappin on EVERY BODY.. But damn.. Qwit!
